LEE Freedman has 10 horses at Kembla Grange but the team could be expanded if Class Apart can win the Burberry Handicap (1600m) at Sandown this afternoon.

The French Deputy filly has been earmarked as a possible runner in Kembla's flagship race, the Keith Nolan Classic, on Sensational Sunday on April 6.

"I'd really like to have a runner in the Nolan to support the club and she is one of two fillies I have that could run in it," Freedman said.

"If she can win she will be on the truck with one or two others.

"I don't want to waste my time bringing any horse up here that won't be competitive, so she needs to win."

Class Apart will carry topweight and is ready after two runs in Saturday company.

She resumed with a grinding fourth to Vivacious Spirit over 1200m at Caulfield on February 6 before racing on the speed when second to Cascade Now over 1400m at Caulfield on March 1.

Price assessors rated Class Apart a $2.50 favourite in early markets yesterday.

"She is looking for a mile and would be the ideal horse for the Nolan," Freedman said.

"That is a big day for the club down here and I'm looking at the two $100,000 races (the Kembla Grange Cup and The Freeway) as well.

"It's just a matter of finding the right horses, but when there are races like that on your doorstep you always would like to have some runners."
