GAI Waterhouse loves to start her good horses at the provincial tracks and Rock Kingdom might add his name to a long list in the Cove Financial Group Maiden Plate (1200 metres) at Kembla Grange tomorrow.
A winner of two barrier trials, Rock Kingdom should start favourite at his debut tomorrow.Waterhouse recently used Kembla to start Fight And Defend's spring campaign and the Encosta de Lago three-year-old is in line for starts in the Cox Plate and Victoria Derby after winning at Randwick on Tuesday."We used the provincials to get him started and I love taking my good horses there to start with," Waterhouse said."It gives them confidence and gives you a chance to teach them something before they come to town."It's a tried and proven method and I will continue to use it."
